3:5. ବହୁ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁସରଣ କରୁଥିବା ପବିତ୍ର ମହିଳାମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଏହା ହିଁ ଘଟିଥିଲା। ଏହିପରି ଭାବରେ ସମାନେେ ନିଜକୁ ସୁନ୍ଦର କରି ଗଢ଼ିଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ନିଜ ପତିମାନଙ୍କ ଅଧୀନ ରେ ଥିଲେ।

3:5. For in the same way the holy women who hoped in God long ago adorned themselves by being subject to their husbands,

3:5. This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They trusted God and accepted the authority of their husbands.

3:5. For after this manner aforetime the holy women also, who hoped in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:

3:5. It was the same with the holy women who lived long ago and followed God. They made themselves beautiful in that same way. They were willing to serve their husbands.

3:5. For this is how the holy women before, who hoped in God, also adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:
